Results conference for Produktion2030
2015 – 2015
Project time: 2015 – 2016
Budget: 155 950 kr
Funding: SIP Produktion2030
The purpose and objective of the project w as to inform and engage actors in the Sw edish manufacturing industry , academia and research institutes about the possibilities of the European Platform for Innovation, education and entrepreneurship in production: KIC Added Value Manufacturing (KIC AVM).
An important prerequisite for engaging Sw edish actors is that they have a strong influence in the KIC. These conditions w ere changed by the EU in the middle of the project, why it w as closed in March , 2016.
The programme office for Produktion2030 has been responsible for this proj
Information about the possibilities and collaborations w ith the KIC AVM has been presented to Sw edish actors in the manufacturing industry, as w ell as to the Academy (The Sw edish Production Academy ) and research institutes ( RISE ). Communication material has been produced , articles and new sletters have been w ritten and tw o w orkshops have been held : at Sw erea IVF and at Teknikföretagen.
In March 2016 it w as decided by Produktion2030 programme office to terminate the project . Reason for this w as altered conditions from the EU, which greatly reduced Sw edish actors influence.
The project progressed according to plan until March 2016 , when the programme office for Produktion2030 decided to terminate the project , five months earlier than planned.
The reason for this w as the EU:s decision to greatly decrease the number of actors allow ed in the KIC-organization. Thus the nu,ber of Sw edish actors w ith influence in the KIC w as reduced to 2-4 partners.
The consequence of the premature ending of the project is remaining funds in the budget.

Tooling constitutes a significant part in the economical investment of the hot stamping process. Significant benefits in production economy and environmental benefits can be attained by improving the tribological performance in hot forming operations of automotive components. The main idea of this project is to create tailored tool surfaces on dies made from cheaper and easier to manufacture tool steel for the hot stamping of ultra-high strength steels.

With globalization and other megatrends as demographic changes and climate change, more knowledge is needed regarding production in an international perspective. PADOK Study Visit in India 2016 have given an increased knowledge regarding how production is conducted in India, some of the challenges producing companies in that region is facing and how Swedish companies interested in investing in production in India could act to establish themselves in the region.
