The goal of the project has been to strengthen the expertise concerning industrial data analytics at Alkit Communications AB – a company developing softw are-based systems for, among other things, monitoring of process industrial systems. The background to the project is the w ork regarding data analytics performed w ithin the Produktion2030 project SAPPA (Service Architecture for Product and Production Availability). The aim of the SAPPA project w as to develop industrial production monitoring systems to improve availability and reliability.
The project har supplied key expertise in data analytics to Alkit, increasing the value of Alkit’s commercial products and services, and raising the level of innovation w ithin the company. The results are softw are implementations of methods and algorithms, leading to improved products and services for Alkit, and improved ability to deliver systems for increased availability of industrial production systems.
The w ork has involved implementation and integration of softw are components for data analytics. The w ork has also included testing, technical documentation and dialogue w ith end users.
Tests of the analysis mechanisms implemented have been carried out regularly according to the agile softw are development process Alkit uses. Demonstrations have been carried out according to plan.

With globalization and other megatrends as demographic changes and climate change, more knowledge is needed regarding production in an international perspective. PADOK Study Visit in India 2016 have given an increased knowledge regarding how production is conducted in India, some of the challenges producing companies in that region is facing and how Swedish companies interested in investing in production in India could act to establish themselves in the region.

Tooling constitutes a significant part in the economical investment of the hot stamping process. Significant benefits in production economy and environmental benefits can be attained by improving the tribological performance in hot forming operations of automotive components. The main idea of this project is to create tailored tool surfaces on dies made from cheaper and easier to manufacture tool steel for the hot stamping of ultra-high strength steels.
