Purpose and goal

It is a big challenge for SMEs to be up to date on new technologies, methods and knowledge. Nearly 200 companies participate in Produktion2030’s various projects. Transfer of results from projects in Produktion2030 must also be broader. The instrument aims to package results, disseminate them to SMEs, and increase researchers’ network of contacts with and knowledge about SME issues.

Objectives:
– Increase the number of companies using results from Produktion2030’s projects
– Increase the number of SMEs that participate in Produktion2030’s projects and other activities.

Results and expected effects

Project results
– Most of the projects carry out packing of results for SMEs.
– Results are spread in the form of Technology Workshops, courses, seminars, etc. – Results are digitally available
– 200 SMEs have participated in Production2030’s SME activities 2020

Direct effects
– More SMEs are reached by research results by:
– Regional industrial organizations use results from Produktion2030 in their channels
– SME participation in research and innovation projects is increasing
– The adaptation of the FoI projects to the needs and challenges of the SME target group is increasing

A number of different types of activities are conducted, contributing to increased understanding, interaction and exchange between academia, institutes, regional actors, industry networks and SMEs.

Tailored Tool Surfaces for Robust and Sustainable Hot Stamping

Tooling constitutes a significant part in the economical investment of the hot stamping process. Significant benefits in production economy and environmental benefits can be attained by improving the tribological performance in hot forming operations of automotive components. The main idea of this project is to create tailored tool surfaces on dies made from cheaper and easier to manufacture tool steel for the hot stamping of ultra-high strength steels.
