Innovative production education in co-operation, an instrument in Produktion2030 – 2017

Purpose and goal

The aim of this application is to support the ongoing National Graduate School Production 2030.

The education instrument w ill continue to run and develop the national graduate school of Produktion2030, where new and existing courses are arranged in Produktion2030’s areas of strength. The courses are available to doctoral students, industrial doctoral students and as w ell as company employees . The programme also include master level courses.

Results and expected effects

Results:

  • Increase the number of members to at least 175
  • Increase the number of total grade credits
  • Complete the course program in “Circular Production Systems and Maintenance”
  • Start at least 2 master courses in the field of “Industry 4.0”

Direct effects (1-2 years):

  • The training instrument has contributed to the mobility betw een academia, institutes and industry.
  • In Sweden, there is good access to skills at postgraduate and master’s level within the production area
  • More companies invest in sustainable production in Sw eden because there is a good access to skills.

Tooling constitutes a significant part in the economical investment of the hot stamping process. Significant benefits in production economy and environmental benefits can be attained by improving the tribological performance in hot forming operations of automotive components. The main idea of this project is to create tailored tool surfaces on dies made from cheaper and easier to manufacture tool steel for the hot stamping of ultra-high strength steels.
