Therefore, RISE is opening up the Application Center for Additive Manufacturing together with industrial and academic partners.
The Swedish Manufacturing R&D Clusters has for over ten years successfully developed industry-relevant R&D for competitive production. Now the different clusters work together to develop project ideas for a more sustainable production.

The new SABACE project, which stands for Sustainable Automated Assembly for Customized Products, focuses on solving dynamic needs in assembly systems.
The Vinnova-financed project Test bed LIGHTest was completed in the spring of 2021. In the four years that the project has been running, thirteen industrial pilot projects and five assignments together with small and medium-sized companies have been completed. The majority of the projects (70 percent) have led to direct business benefits and implementation. LIGHTest is of particular interest to members of the Manufacturing Cluster for Forming and Joining, but also to others.
Increased digitization of production has many potential benefits, but increased knowledge of standards is important for companies to be able to take advantage of the opportunities. It is a challenge to relate to the large number of standards and standardization work that is underway. To meet these needs, this forum is created for Swedish industry.
On 5-6 May, it was time for this year's edition of the Manufacturing R&D Cluster Conference with the theme: Sustainable manufacturing - green value chains. The conference set a new record with 485 participants.
