Rational building systems for medium to long-span timber structures (RBS-TS)
Building systems for timber structures, which reduces construction cost and climate impact.
2021 – 2024

The influence of material and process parameters on shape stability and strength in glued wood products. Analysis of resource and flow efficiency in industrial processes.
Lars Blomqvist is active in material and process analysis, material and product development as well as production technology in the area of wood technology. Previous teaching within CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) and production technology. He has a background as a cabinetmaker (journeyman’s certificate 1988) and consultant.
The overall aim of the research is to develop and improve the performance of wood-based products regarding efficient resource utilization and a functioning bio-based economy. The research has contributed to reduced rejects of wood-based products as well as improvements in resource and flow efficiency in industrial processes.

2021 – 2024
The aim of the present project is to develop a prediction tool for laminated veneer products (LVPs) to make it possible for the industry to improve product performance by reducing rejects and customer complaints and reducing time from idea to market by means of a tool to simulate LVP performance.
