Purpose and goal

Assess the implementation potential of gas turbine functional sales model, i.e.‘Gas turbine-as-service’ as a leverage in transition towards circular economy.
Develop further the existing circular manufacturing system simulation tool and Product Multiple Lifecycle Management (PMLM) tool for implementation in the high-tech energy industry.

Results and expected effects

Short-term
Business model potential is checked and method for pricing strategy is established. Reaching one step closer to implementing circular systems.
Better control over assets which will enable remanufacturability.
Method and tool is tested in a complex industrial case.
Long-term
Increased market share due to new business model.
Economic and environmental sustainability is enhanced.
Increased resource (material, energy and value added) conservation and reduced emission. ‘Gas turbine-as-service’ is implemented within and beyond the gas turbine sector.
