Aerospace is an interdisciplinary and highly innovative engineering field with huge potential for sustainable business. In this course, you design and execute cross-disciplinary and collaborative research propositions. You learn to pitch and match your research competence to different audiences.

Welcome to this project course for aerospace innovations!

The course starts February 2024. It consist of 3 parts: Part 1 and 2 give 4 HEC (higher education credit) and Part 3 is optional and can give 1-3,5 HEC.

Part 1: Prerequisites for successful cross-disciplinary collaboration

SESSION 1: Portfolio and Pitching (including retrieval augmented generative AI, social media and events, and video recordings)

SESSION 2: Authorship principles and management of IPR

Part 2: Design of collaborative research propositions

SESSION 3: Project structure and deliverables

SESSION 4: Analysis of skills needed for a collaborative research proposition (including support from cross-disciplinary skills)

Part 3: (optional) Execution of cross-disciplinary project

SESSION 5: Execute interdisciplinary aerospace project

(For PhD candidates: agreement on number of credits is required for this optional part.)

Organisation

Lectures (online), workshops (online/onsite) and attendance at aerospace events. Examination includes public presentation of the PhD candidate’s research profile. The project is optional.

Examination

The examination includes (1) a report containing the participant’s portfolio and pitch and (2) a project plan including delivery and execution of an interdisciplinary aerospace project. For the optional part a final presentation of the project is required. The grade is pass/not pass..

Administrative information

Course fee: 12 000 SEK. Travel expenses to and from course events and accommodation is paid by the participants. Free of charge for participants of SARC (Swedish Aerospace Research Program) and the Graduate School of Space Technology at LTU.
