Initiated in 2006 by Swedish vehicle manufacturers and the automotive supplier group FKG, the Swedish Manufacturing R&D Clusters have grown to include all sectors of the manufacturing industry.
Our mission is to develop environmentally, socially, and financially sustainable manufacturing systems that can deliver future innovative products to the market.
Our latest strategy document outlines the key R&D areas and anticipated challenges for manufacturing in Sweden, focusing on four main themes: Circular and resource efficient manufacturing, Production methods meeting new products, functions, or features, Digital continuity in the industrial eco-system, and Resilience and competence.
