Exploring model based engineering and using digitized knowledge in the industrialization of automotive products.
This is a pre-study with the main goal to prepare a full project that will explore and extend the use of digitized models and knowledge in product realization. The business goals are to contribute to sustainable competitiveness through a closer interaction and sharing of models and experiences between stakeholders in the R&D and production departments. Some objectives:
- Expanding the information that can be represented in models and used in the collaboration and communication between groups with different perspectives.
- Methods for using feedback and experiences from production to support industrialization decisions, based on identified needs.
- Methods for creating digitized knowledge based on feedback from many sources and situations, usable for making decisions based on wider experiences.
- Generic models and strategies for model-based and collaborative industrialization, usable for various products, production systems, and wider stakeholder networks involving customers and suppliers. This involves standardization of information that is communicated as well as harmonized ways of working.
