Design for Remanufacture through Efficient Use of Product Life-cycle data

Project time: 2013 – 2016

Budget: 4 665 000 kronor

The project aims to develop methods for how manufacturers should design their products for remanufacturing through efficient use of product life cycle data.

Few products are presently designed for remanufacturing. The KEAP project aims to develop methods for how manufacturers should design their products for remanufacturing. Furthermore, the project will efficiently use data from the product’s life cycle to support the designers’ development of product that are good from a remanufacturing perspective but also from a life cycle perspective. The information from the product life cycle is vital for designers in order to improve of next generation of products. The goal with KEAP is to achieve products that are designed for remanufacturing.
