Kursen syftar till att ge grundläggande förståelse för vetenskaplig kommunikation och kunskapsdelning baserad på forskning och tillämpad insikt i hur vetenskapliga aktiviteter kommuniceras och sprids.

Welcome to this scientific dissemination course!

Course content
The first part of the course focus on presenting your own research to the academic community and society. The second part focus on theoretical and practical experience of disseminating research results presented at an academic conference to the academic community, industry, and society in general.

The course also provides a mix of theoretical and practical experiences for how a scientific event is designed and managed by following and participating in the design and management of a real scientific event focusing on the dissemination of result presented at the event.

Intended learning outcomes
After completion of the course the course participant should be able to

Demonstrate the ability in both national and international contexts to present and discuss research and research findings authoritatively in speech and writing and in dialogue with the academic community and society in general.

Course organisation
The course is organised in three parts:

A successful completion of this course will be judged on the following:
• Participation in lectures/session
• Dissemination of their own research (poster/academic video/societal video pitch and an elevator pitch)
• Create a report multimedia and social media content for a specific sessions, theme or topics from the conference.
• The quality of the personal dissemination strategy

Due to pandemic restrictions, the conference organisers may limit the number of participants on site. Some student may therefore only participate online. Course content will be mirrored (similar) online/on site.
