My researches focus on the pyrolysis of biomass and bio-activated carbon used for wastewater treatment.
Yuming Wen is currently a doctoral student working at the Unit of Process, Department of Materials Science and Engineering. He graduated from Northeastern University (China) with a bachelor’s degree in Functional Materials in 2016. Then he went to New Zealand as an astronomy guide for 5 months. After that, he went to KTH Royal Institute of Technology and got a master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering in 2019.
Pyrolysis of biomass is one of the most promising techniques to enable waste-to-materials and/or waste-to-energy. Yuming Wen is interested in 1. characterization of the pyrolysis performance of different biomass/plastic; 2. Improve the quality and/or quantity of the pyro-products; 3. Seeking new application of the pyro-products.
