Research in Product innovation with a focus on early phases, team innovation and creativity. Peter is passionate about innovative product development with a human centered approach.

Peter is an associate professor in Product Innovation. Peter is passionate about pedagogy in and teaches both at the undergraduate and advanced level and is the educational leader of Industrial Design Engineering.

Peter’s core competencies are team based innovation, creativity, collaboration, distributed engineering, global product development, and physical environments for creative work. Peter has written about 50 publications in this area.

Peter is one of the founders of Alkit Communications, a spin-off company that develops applications for remote communication and remote remote vehicle testing.

Research

Peter has mainly been involved in research that focused on distributed work and creativity in the early stages. In recent years, he has focused on how additive manufacturing can be used to develop innovative products, primarily in the space industry.

Peter is also the manager for DEPICT LAB, a research environment focus on visualizing and analyzing human behavior. The lab equipment makes it possible in a research context to study humans and  subconscious cognitive processes in order to obtain answers that cannot be captured with classical quantitative methods.
