My research is about supply chain management in the transition toward a circular economy. Especially, I am interested in supply networks for materials recovery.

Daniel Berlin is a doctoral student at the Department of Industrial Economics and Management at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. He received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Both his degree of Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Engineering and degree of Master of Science in Engineering are from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and the University of Iceland. Daniel worked as a research engineer from August 2017 until May 2018 studying electric road systems in Sweden before his doctoral studies.

Research

Daniel Berlin’s research topic for his doctoral studies is management of materials for a sustainable society. Particularly, his research interest is supply chain management in the transition toward a circular economy where he focuses on supply networks for materials recovery. The empirical focus of the research is currently on large process industries and especially the Swedish steel industry.
