Cyber physical system to Control Asset Health (Maint-CPS)

Cyber physical system to Control Asset Health (Maint-CPS)

Project time: 2015 – 2016

Budget: 815 200 kr

Concept to automate maintenance via upgrading, digitizing, integrating and automatizing: measuring – diagnosis – prediction - estimate time to maintenance – report – action

The aim of this project is to develop a concept for a full automated condition-based maintenance (CBM) system, Intelligent Maint-CPS. The system will full automatically conduct CBM actions from; measuring condition monitoring (CM) parameters, such as vibration, temperature, bearing condition and shock pulse measurements – conducting analysis and diagnosis – predicting of future condition – estimating the time to maintenance action – reporting analysis and diagnosis results- until conducting well defined maintenance actions.

The potential applying areas of Intelligent Maint-CPS can, among others, be within;

Process industry, for example in paper and pulp mills, sawmills,

Energy industry, for examples in power plants, nuclear power stations, wind power stations, and

Manufacturing industry, for example in automated CNC-machines, casting processes, welding and painting robots, test-rigs for gearboxes, in cars, buses and trucks manufacturing, etc.

Intelligent Maint-CPS increases the precision of maintenance decisions concerning when a machine should be maintained, improves maintenance performance, reduce breakdowns and unplanned stoppages, as well as production cost.
