The course is centred around the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook and is run as a study circle and will give an introduction to the area of systems engineering.

Aim
The course aims to give an introduction into the area of Systems Engineering according to INCOSE (International Council of Systems Engineer’s).
Course content
The course is centred around the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook and is run as a “study circle” during 8 weeks; each chapter of the SE handbook as well as guest lectures will give insights into the SE process and practices.
Intended Learning outcomes
After completion of the course the course participant should pass the official certification test given by INCOSE.
[Possible, but not included in the course: the certificate test costs ca. 500 SEK (PhD student membership INCOSE Sweden) + 1500 SEK for the certification].
Course organisation
8 online meetings (á 2.5h) for 8 weeks. At the end of the course a certification event will be scheduled in collaboration with INCOSE certification body.

Fee for late drop-out
This course is included in the Produktion2030 program, and it is therefore free of charge for PhD student members of Graduate School Produktion2030. However, in case of drop-out later than 3 weeks before course start, a fee of 1 000 SEK per course credit will be charged the student’s home institution.
